With a theme of "The Future is Now," the event attracted an impressive 1.75 lakh participants from over 123 countries, highlighting India’s commitment to becoming a global leader in cutting-edge technologies such as 6G, ethical artificial intelligence (AI), and data privacy.

Prime Minister Modi’s Vision for Digital India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a compelling address at IMC 2024, emphasizing India’s role in setting global standards in emerging technologies. He outlined the four pillars of Digital India: affordable devices, widespread digital connectivity, accessible data, and the overarching goal of a ‘Digital First’ approach. The event featured more than 310 partners and exhibitors, including participation from 13 ministries and 29 academic institutions, showcasing the collaborative efforts of various sectors in driving technological progress.

Artificial Intelligence emerged as a central theme at IMC 2024, with a diverse array of tech and telecom companies, including startups and educational institutions, showcasing over 900 technology use case scenarios. Notably, 750 of these were AI-based use cases, demonstrating the growing importance of AI in shaping the future of technology. The discussions surrounding ethical AI and data privacy were particularly timely, aligning with Modi’s call for responsible innovation in the digital age.
