Maharashtra Launches India’s First Integrated Cyber Command and Control Center

Comprehensive Infrastructure
The Cyber Command and Control Center encompasses several critical components designed to enhance the state’s cybersecurity framework:
- Cyber Crime Command & Control Center: A centralized hub for managing cyber crime incidents.
- Technology Assisted Investigation Center: Equipped with advanced digital forensic tools to aid in investigations.
- CERT – Maharashtra: This entity will utilize AI-based threat intelligence tools to monitor and respond to cyber incidents.
- Security Operations Center: A state-of-the-art facility dedicated to real-time monitoring and response to cyber threats.
- Cyber Center of Excellence: Focused on capacity building and raising awareness among citizens regarding cyber safety.
Grievance Management and Investigation
The command and control center will serve as a one-stop shop for grievance management, accessible through multiple channels, including a dedicated helpline (14407), a web portal, and a mobile app, all set to become operational from October 15. The Nodal Cyber Police Station, along with 50 district cyber police stations, will investigate cases with the assistance of the Technology Assisted Investigation Center (TAI) for both citizen and enterprise complaints. Furthermore, CERT-MH will address cyber incidents related to critical infrastructure and national security, coordinating with various agencies to ensure a robust response.

The Cyber Command and Control Center boasts several unique features that set it apart:
- Dedicated Infrastructure: Located in Mahape, the center is equipped with specialized facilities for cybersecurity operations.
- Integrated Technology Platforms: The center integrates over 50 global forensic technologies, 17 threat intelligence tools, and 13 cybersecurity tools, leveraging advanced AI and blockchain technologies.
- Expert Personnel: The center is staffed by more than 150 cyber crime forensics, investigation, and technology experts, ensuring a high level of expertise in handling cyber threats.
- Geographically Distributed Support: The center enables the operation of 50 district cyber police stations across Maharashtra, ensuring localized support and response.
