The inauguration took place at Mahape, with Shri Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, leading the ceremony.

  1. Dedicated Infrastructure: Located in Mahape, the center boasts a dedicated command and control infrastructure that serves as the nerve center for cyber crime management.

  2. Advanced Technology Integration: The platform integrates over 50 global forensic technologies, 17 threat intelligence tools, and 13 cybersecurity tools, leveraging cutting-edge AI and blockchain technologies. This technological backbone is crucial for effective cyber crime investigation and prevention.

  3. Expert Workforce: The center is staffed by more than 150 cyber crime forensics, investigation, and technology experts, ensuring that there is a skilled team ready to respond to incidents and assist in investigations.

  4. Geographically Distributed Cyber Police Stations: The center enables the functioning of 50 district cyber police stations across Maharashtra, ensuring that cyber crime investigations are localized and efficient.

  5. Multi-Channel Grievance Management: Citizens can report cyber crimes through various channels, including a dedicated helpline (14407, operational from October 15), a web portal, and a mobile app. This multi-channel approach ensures accessibility and responsiveness.

  6. CERT-Maharashtra: The Cyber Emergency Response Team (CERT-MH) will address cyber incidents related to critical infrastructure and national security, coordinating with other agencies to provide a comprehensive response.
