Ahmed Al-Yousefi, a student ambassador for the MSc Crisis and Security Management (CSM) with a specialization in Cybersecurity Governance, articulated the significance of this one-year master’s program. "The field is becoming increasingly important across various sectors," Ahmed noted, emphasizing the specialized pathways available to students. The program focuses on the governance aspects of cybersecurity, equipping students with the skills necessary to tackle global security challenges. With practical assignments and group projects, students gain hands-on experience that prepares them for roles such as Cybersecurity Consultant or Policy Advisor.

New Bachelor’s Program in Cybersecurity & Cybercrime
In response to the rising threat of cybercrime, FGGA is launching a new Bachelor in Cybersecurity & Cybercrime, set to begin in September 2025. Elina van ’t Zand, a lecturer at the Institute for Criminal Law & Criminology, highlighted the urgency of this program: "Cybercrime continues to rise, unlike traditional forms of crime." The curriculum combines legal, criminological, and technical knowledge, preparing students to navigate a wide range of cyber challenges. Daan Weggemans, a member of the program board, emphasized the need for professionals who can understand the intersection of technology, law, and governance.
